I thought to myself, as a beginning teacher, what would I love to have, but I don't know where to get it. Because I have the opportunity to go to the US regularly and stock up on dollar store teaching products, I thought I would share the love! This is what I put together for her.
1. A favourite picture story book (Diary of a Wombat)
2. Stickers
3. Colourful Pens
4. A Small Ball
5. Foam Dice
6. Hand Sanitizer
7. Anti-Bactorial Wipes
8. Bulletin Board Borders
9. Sharpies
10. Zip Lock Bags
11. Whistle
12. Bulletin Board Letters
What else would you give a graduate teacher?

In the US we call them student teachers, at least in California. I gave mine a gift card to Amazon and a thumb drive with all my TpT materials (just the PDFs) on it. Chart paper markers are another good resource to have!

Such a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteI've done a Back to School Survival Kit with stationary for my team members before. It's quite fun!
I agree with Jessica: markers are great, and even a little notebook to take notes in staff meetings/PDs etc.

I love what you did! Dry erase markers, Sharpies, and Post-it's are probably the most expensive items that you can never have enough of, so I would probably throw something like that in if I were creating one. Maybe a $10 certificate to TpT or an Amazon card as well. Of course, my problem is that once I get started on these kind of gifts, I can't stop! :-)
